Only *** miles from San Francisco, De Anza High School was founded in 1955. The Richmond based school was named after Spanish explorer Juan Bautista DeAnza. Living up to its motto of "Conquer and Prevail," the newly rebuilt school now offers the latest technology in every classroom, from projectors to new lighting systems, and a new state of the art security system with 167 cameras to ensure the saftey of the students. The new school also features new facilities including a new state-of-the-art theater, new Mac & PC labs, private conference rooms, practice music & recording studio, etc. De Anza offers several academic tracts from which students can select. In addition to ## AP classes, DeAnza school offers three elite academies that help students futher develop their career skills in Health, Law and Technology as well as a new Air Force ROTC program in 2014-15. De Anza has over 20 clubs, many different sports activities, and rigorous academic classes.
