GRADING: to be based upon the rubric posted in class

In order to create a thorough and well-supported presentation, you will want to discuss only one theme because it is important that you support your explanation with many examples from the book to convince the audience that you believe this theme to be the most important. It is important that you spend the entire time convincing them of that. Your presentation should exemplify not only that you have read the material, but also that you have actually reflected on what you were reading to be conscious of the under-the-surface details. Think carefully about underlying meanings the book may suggest or ideas your novel may illicit as you are reading. NO PLOT SUMMARIES!!!

Along with your explanation of the theme, you will also need to create a visual, which represents your interpretation of this theme. Plan to explain your visual during your presentation, adhering to many examples that support your belief.

Most importantly, please do not give away the entire story, in case your presentation inspires someone else to read the story.
